Expectations to be a winner

  • Be a pro.
  • Act like a champion.
  • Respond to adversity; don't react.
  • Be on time. Being late means either it's not important to you or you can't be relied upon.
  • Execute. Do what you're suppose to do when you are suppose to do it. Not almost. All the way. Not most of the time. All of the time.
  • Take ownership.
(Quiet Strength 116)

At like a champion, is the characteristic I feel is the most important. Being a champion is all of these choices tied into one. Its takes being on time, acting in a professional manner, the way you carry yourself, and taking ownership or responsibility for your actions all are great examples of being a champion.  In sports, only one team can be the winner of that game, but even the team who loses can still be champions if they show a positive attitude and strive even harder to win the game the next time.
