Quiet Strength Chapters 1-6 Summary

In the book Quiet Strength, by Tony Dungy, the author states that in chapter one how Tony felt the night of January 14, 2002, that his spirit was like the dark clouds in the sky.  It was the night that Tony Dungy cleaned out his office because he had been fired from being the head coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The author talks about the positive influence his parent made on his life by instilling strong Christian values, the importance of a college education, and the need for positive extracurricular sports. The author speaks on how Tony had to face the problems of racial inequality in his early years of playing football because he was black. He focuses on all the positive role models he had in high school, such as his principle Mr. Rockquemore.  He goes on the explain how he met and married his wife Lauren and some of the challenges they faced because of his career.
